Travelin' Man Songs

If you're headed to the airport, train station or the open road this long holiday weekend (in the US) and looking for some traveling music, I have a few suggestions. These discs will make the road shorter and less windy:

Magnetic Fields, The Charm of the Highway Strip: You might think an album about the road is an odd choice, but this album of sad love songs about the open road will make the miles fly by.
Drive-By Truckers, Southern Rock Opera: A good concept album will hook you in, and even force you to enjoy your time in the confinement of your transportation. This is one of the best.
Sleighed, The Other Side Of Christmas, Various Artists: It's never too early to start thinking about the holidays, and "Santa Doesn't Cop Out On Dope" by Sonic Youth always puts me in the spirit.
Sloan, One Chord To Another: Powerpop keeps me awake, and few bands do it better than these Canadians.
