40 Down, 12 To Go "Hot Springs" (52 Books, 52 Weeks)
Last year, Geffrey Becker's Black Elvis was one of my favorite short story collections. His debut novel, Hot Springs, impressed me even more.
Hot Springs is filled with fascinating oddball characters, but it is Becker's estimable storytelling skill that brings this heartfelt and wonderfully offbeat kidnapping tale to life.
My next book is Alan Moore and J.H. Williams III's graphic novel Absolute Promethea Book Two.
