Short Attention Span Radio

Quick 96 of Seattle is planning to only play the "best parts of songs," spinning an average of 426 songs an hour. Sounds like a publicity stunt to me, but could this appeal to listeners with short attention spans?

oh dear... because my hubby is a songwriter, i understand the art and technique it takes to create a song, from intro, to verses, to chorus, to hook, and if it is a good some, the subject or theme grows and climaxes, then repeats at the end... If someone is just playing a short segment of the song, it would be the same as cutting out a sunflower from a van gogh and only offering it outside of composition and context...
i dont like this at all. i am too serious about art, maybe. or maybe i just need to go shopping and blow lots of money.

I agree, Vikki, being a songwriter myself. In fact, I'd rather hear the whole album than a single song, and have little interest in snippets.
