Top 80's Albums

Pitchfork lists their top 100 albums of the 80's. I surprisingly am happy with this list, it's diverse and almost echoes my top 10 of the decade.

i'll have to check it out. it's funny when someone says that this or that article is really good, what is usually meant is that they agree with it
;-)

There's a surprisingly enjoyable Minutemen tribute album out, "Our Band Could Be your Life."

I enjoy lists like these, the '80's were a seminal point in my musical life, and almost each album mentioned has at least one memory attached to it for me.

I just can't believe that there was no Peter Gabriel on there. I mean Peter Gabriel III(Melt)(1980)was not only a great, solid album, but it was also revolutionary. There was the use of African beats in Biko, and also synth use, lack of symbals throughout that anticipated the distinct (though maybe not great) side of the eighties.
