Ever since Liam Lynch's "United States Of Whatever" started airing in a video game commercial, I've been getting a ton of hits to my post about John Darnielle and I agreeing that it's a wonderful tune.
If you're looking for the song, it's on Lynch's "Fake Songs" album, as well as an import single. The album comes with a bonus DVD, and is a very fun listen.

BTWM, my stupid IE6 refused to load the video -- had to come in with Mozilla to see it. I have picked my way through all the security settings and still can't figure what turned off the ability to get to these files with IE6 -- maybe a security update wiped it out.
