If you're looking for a wide array of live shows taped in lossless formats, then check out Sharing The Groove, a community built around show trading in both audio and video formats.
Most of the files are shared using BitTorrent, a distributed file distribution network with clients fo Windows, Mac OS X and third-party clients for Linux.
By the way, can anyone recommend a client for Bittorrent other than the official one? I'm looking for a client that will restart torrents automatically as well as cap upload and download speeds, and would like one for both OS X and Windows XP.
Posted by david on November 07, 2003On Mac OSX, i Use BitTorrent 3.3 (i think it's the official one, but it's great) : http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/18286
On XP, the best i found is PTC. It does what you ask... http://www.cosil.com/ptc/
BTW, thanks for your site, i love it.
I'll soon launch a collective french weblog about music. Lot of links I take from you ;)
Some articles will be in english, read : http://www.chryde.net/blogotheque/blogart_comments.php?id=57_0_5_0_C
Thanks for the kind words. I'll give PTC a chance on my PC. I'll be looking forward to your weblog, I read several that are bilingual, I think it adds to their charm.

I can't download the torrents in sharing groove. I tried with a Damien Rice, it tells me : "rejected by tracker - Torrent is not authorized for use on this tracker.
Do you know what to do ?
Are you a registered user of the forums? I think if you're not registered you can't download a torrent.
