(Some music to listen to while reading this post: Deerhoof's "Milk Man," and "Gigadance" from their Milk Man album, released today. The song, "Milk Man" is quickly becoming one of my favorites of the year)
Today is the first huge release date of the year for me (see above), here's what I'll be picking up at lunch:
Deerhoof - Milk Man (cd)
Franz Ferdinand - S/T (cd)
Mary Lou Lord - Baby Blue (cd)
Squarepusher - Ultravisitor (cd)
There are plenty of other interesting releases out today, I'll add these to my "look in the bargain bin and used section" list:
The Black Heart Procession & Solbakken - In The Fishtank 11 (cd)
Destroyer - Your Blues (cd)
El-P - High Water: Mark (cd)
Graham Parker - Your Country (cd)
Now It's Overhead - Fall Back Open (cd)
Rainer Maria - Anyone in Love With You Already Knows (cd)
Sondre Lerche - Two Way Monologue (cd)
TV On The Radio - Desperate Youth, Bloodthirsty Babes
Von Bodies - Pawn Shoppe Heart (cd)
The Black Heart Procession - Tropics of Love (dvd)
I'm sure I'm missing something... anything else being released today I should at least give a listen?
Posted by david on March 09, 2004that Rainer Maria release is actually Live DVD, with a bonus CD. and that TV on the Radio album is ESSENTIAL! how can you wait fo the bargain bin?!?!? also, CocoRosie's album came out today on Touch and Go, you might like them.
Posted by: troy steele on March 9, 2004 02:09 PMThe TVotR album is alright, but hardly *essential.* I estimate it will start showing up in used bins before the end of the month.
Posted by: Paul on March 9, 2004 02:48 PMI got my copy new for $8, why even bother with a used one?
