Shorties

Mike Watt pays elegant tribute to Elvin Jones in Creem magazine.

Cloud Recordings has some classic Elephant 6 t-shirts in stock.

Jeff Tweedy poetically chimes in at #29 on Newcity Chicago's "Lit 50." Poet Thax Douglas squeaked in at #49.

Original MTV VJ Nina Blackwood is alive and well, working on a nationally syndicated radio show, "Absolutely 80s," and soon adding another, "New Wave Nation."

Edmonton's Vue Weekly runs a piece on musical weblogs, and unfortunately perpetuates the term "mp3j".

Is Nina Blackwood still using photos she had taken in 1986? There's no way she could still look that way two decades later (unless she and Cher are actually from the same alien planet).

Hey David, you made on my hometown's rag. Good show! Now if only Vue could do a piece on science/politics/music blogs, i'd be king. Well, maybe prince. Yeah, MP3J sucks.
Cheers.

Do they not know what layout is in Edmonton? Geez, that's a difficult article to read. Even so, Rev. David, keep up the lord's work.
