Posted by: Terry on July 12, 2004 10:16 AMThe new Ken Stringfellow album, Soft Commands, comes out tomorrow. It might be understated to a slight fault, but some of the songs are just amazing.

Posted by: Marleigh on July 12, 2004 05:16 PMDread Zeppelin is the ORIGINAL play-their-own-instruments-mash-up band; they definitely deserve the love.
Posted by: Nick on July 12, 2004 05:44 PMI'm really excited about the Firey Furnaces disc, too. Gallowsbird Bark really threw me for a loop - it was so fresh and original. Have you seen any live mp3's of the band, I'm curious to hear how they sound in a live context.
Posted by: Tim on July 12, 2004 06:58 PMTim - I saw the Fiery Furnaces in Brooklyn back in March and they were great. I hadn't heard any of their music before that show and I loved it. Definitely getting the new one.
The Ken Stringfellow too...
