Posted by david on September 24, 2004How Gratis can claim they are not selling their referral lists to spamming organizations is a bold faced lie. How do gmail accounts that receive no spam whatsoever receive a deluge of Spam within 5 minutes of signup?
Coincidence?
Posted by: Kevin on September 24, 2004 08:15 AMAbout how long did it take for your 5 referrals to be considered "complete"? I have my 5 and only 2 are complete. the other 3 have been on there for at least 2 weeks. it's killing me!
Posted by: sparky on September 24, 2004 10:03 AMFor the iPod, I ended up with over 150 people signing up, but only twelve completing their offers. Lots of people sign up, but never complete one of the offers once they see a credit card is required. Mine took about a month, total, to get to five completed referrals.
Posted by: david on September 24, 2004 10:09 AMI received a ton of spam as well within minutes after signing up for both the free flatscreen and desktop pc. That's why I used a Gmail address instead of one of my primary addresses.
Posted by: david on September 24, 2004 10:11 AMSo the whole thing is based on referrals? Dang, did I miss the small print again? You have to have five other people sign up for one of the offers? Oh, heck.
Posted by: Chris on September 24, 2004 12:21 PMHey, I got my free ipod yesterday, also. It has barely left my sight since last night. Im so happy about it.
This whole thing is nothing more than marketing, but if you know what your doing, its worth it.
Um, I only got one completed referall. That blows! Anyone who wants to actually follow through please use the link below and help a brother out.

Posted by: falconcrest on September 24, 2004 05:48 PMhow in the heck did you get 150 people to send this to without them hating you for spamming them with your email? What's your approach? I'm having trouble even asking my boyfriend to do it for fear he'll think I'm in a pyramid scheme.
