Just Another Day At The Job
It was a day of highs and lows:
I'm always amazed when a new technique actually works for a client's needs. In class, the teachers make it look easy because they're the best at the technique (which is why they're chosen to teach), but when I apply it in my practice and it actually works . . . . I'm elated! It's why I chose this work, to help people.
And then there are the people whom I can only help so much with massage therapy. In the past couple of months I've lost two clients to cancer. It's only natural to become attached to the people I work with, and so I acknowledge their passage with a heavy heart.
