A Positive Stroke
I have a client who has been coming to me off and on for over 4 years for conditions ranging from stress to strains to headaches (pdf). Yesterday, she visited me with a crick in her neck and we worked for an hour on this intensely painful condition. Coming in with almost no range of motion, she left with near normal range, and much less pain.
She also told me that she comes to me because she knows that no matter where she hurts, she'll feel better when she leaves and will be completely pain-free in 24 hours. As therapists, we don't always hear how our services affects our clients, so it's nice when people volunteer positive remarks concerning our work.
