A Change Of Career (Sort Of)
More people seem to be changing careers, especially into the service careers like massage therapy.
According to labor industry estimates, a person can expect to change careers three to six times and change jobs seven to 12 times in a lifetime. Reasons for change might include burnout, a change in life's circumstances or a life-changing moment that leads to the pursuit of a dream job.
I traded my graphics career for massage therapy because of an automobile accident and a lay-off. If you're a regular reader of my site, you may have noticed some gaps in my blog posts. I'm currently enrolled in Introductory Physics in order to meet requirements for graduate school. It's a real time sink! I plan to study Physical Therapy but I plan to maintain my commitment to massage therapy. So, it looks like I'm fulfilling the labor industry's estimates.
