Cat Massage

We rescued a kitten two months ago. Poor thing was wrapped up in parasites and needed all the usual shots. About a month ago, I got home from work and was enjoying watching our little cat frolic. I had a moment of realization: he had a slight restriction in his movement centered around his liver. After all the vaccines and worm pills, his liver had a big job of processing all that medication.

I'd been itching to get my hands on him for his first serious massage therapy session, but today Visceral Manipulation seemed more appropriate. In the end, I decided that Craniosacral Therapy on his liver would be a gentler approach.

His reaction: He flopped right over and submitted to gentle manipulation without protest. I took advantage of his compliance and gave him a full body massage. I think he enjoyed the massage, if not the undivided attention. Later, watching him play, I was gratified to not see his movements compensating around a liver restriction. He continues to thrive with weekly massages and constant affection.
