Many Kinds Of Yoga
There are many different kinds of yoga, from restorative to aerobic yoga, that offer many different kinds of benefits to the body.
"The many different types of yoga range from very sedentary to very aerobic. The aerobic-type yoga, one of which is known as 'power yoga' or ashtanga, is relatively new and geared to North America."
The postures massage the various organ systems, increasing energy and relieving physical problems caused by injury or chronic illnesses, and they are really good for the hormonal and digestive systems, she said.
Restorative yoga is good for fibromyalgia, neck, shoulder, hip and back problems, Goldstein said. "There are clinical studies that say restorative yoga is the best treatment for fibromyalgia."
