Care For Scoliosis
It's not uncommon for me to see clients with a mild scoliosis. And while most people who have the condtion aren't debilitated by it, it tends to be an area of the back where folks get tired and achy, especially after a long week at a computer or after a weekend of vigorous home and garden projects.
A handful of my clients have significant scoliosis. The dangers of pronounced scoliosis is a lack of room for the heart, lungs, and/or kidneys. Massage and Bodywork Magazine discusses scoliosis, complete with a case study and follow-up photos.
Though I've linked to it before, I consider Sandy Simmons's journey with scoliosis insightful. I recommend that anyone with profound scoliosis thoroughly read through this site and take an active role in their self-care.
