Turmeric Extract Helps Cystic Fibrosis
A client of mine with Cystic Fibrosis visited me today and told me about a study they had found concerning the use of turmeric in correcting Cystic Fibrosis in rats. They are planning to volunteer to participate in a human clinical trial.
They tried the extract themselves and found some benefit to the therapy. They described it aided their elimination (there is a strong relationship between the health of the colon and the lungs according to traditional Chinese medicine) and cleared out a lot of mucus. One of the symptoms of Cystic Fibrosis is excess mucus production. Unfortunately, at 6 capsules a day, the cost can be a bit much on a modest income.
I've found some information on the benefits of turmericc and a website with extract prices at more reasonable prices than they can get locally. I hope this information is helpful for anyone interested in turmeric's role in the treatment of Cystic Fibrosis, Alzheimer's disease, rheumatoid arthritis, digestion problems, and as an antioxidant among others.
