Massage For Injured Soldiers

Staff Sgt. Michele Mitchell gets a hand massage every day, but it's no luxury. It's a treatment for a battle wound.

One year after Mitchell's incident, she still hasn't reached her goal for her hand and leg yet, but she's getting there.

For soldiers wounded in action, massage therapy is one step on the road to recovery.

Hospital staff say most patients of BAMC leave better off psychologically than before they were injured.

"You will find out, when you're down and you're hurting and you're in some sort of tribulation, you'll find out just how strong you are. You'll find out what you're really made of," Mitchell said.
