Reiki, From the Practioner & Client Perspectives

It's always nice to see bodywork portrayed positively in the local press, it is even nicer when a bodyworker gets the chance to spread knowledge about their craft with their local newspaper. Two licensed massage therapists and one of their clients talk to the Pensacola News Journal about reiki.

"When you give reiki, the intention is to bring out the positive energy we all have within ourselves —— and the day-to-day stresses sometimes prevent us from finding out what our minds can do for us," she said.

In a typical massage therapy session with a client, Kivell likes to throw in a little reiki treatment. But it's totally up to her clients to decide what they want.

She said she's found that massage therapy and reiki together usually give her clients an extra boost and almost always leaves them pleasantly surprised.
