Talking With Massage Therapists and Their Clients

The Ann Arbor News offers a brief overview of massage therapy and its benefits, and talks to both licensed massage therapists as well as their clients.

The Campbells (licensed massage therapists) noted that many people come for a massage when they have a muscle problem or injury. "We fix the problem, but it's great when they develop a maintenance schedule," Patrick Campbell said. "Once a month is a good maintenance schedule to keep muscles stretched, increase the circulation and help them feel better. Keeping your muscles loose will avoid a lot of problems down the road that come with aging."

Pingston plans on continuing her weekly massages. "I want my muscles to be strong and flexible as my bones start getting older. A massage is great way for de-stressing, unwinding and toning your muscles. I highly recommend it."
