Equine Touch

Equine Touch, a treatment that began as a holistic approach for human beings, encourages the body of your horse toward a state of homeostasis or physiologic equilibrium.

Equine Touch can be used, regardless of what is ailing the horse. This discipline releases restricted fascia and hypertonic muscle. Sixty-five percent of injuries in a horse involve the soft tissue.

However, this technique is not meant to replace veterinary care, nor is it exactly massage.

It is similar to a massage in that it involves working with specific points on the horse. It is a series of gentle vibrational moves performed over these points in a choreographed pattern. When performed correctly, these vibrations release spasms, distortions and adhesions in the connective tissue and smooth muscle of the organs.

Equine Touch helps reduce the pain spiral, improves blood and lymphatic flow, increases range of movement and helps to detoxify the animal's system. Applied to a healthy, fit horse, Equine Touch aids in relaxation and improves performance and function.
