The Lilitz Record Express profiles licensed massage therapist Lisa Ressler and her massage clinic, Loving Hearts Healing Hands with Lisa.

Ressler is another example of a person choosing massage therapy as a career later in life, she had worked as a nurses aide before deciding to go to massage school.

She was working as a nurses aide in the trauma-neuro unit at Lancaster General Hospital before deciding to move into the massage therapy field. Ressler took classes and graduated from the Baltimore School of Massage at the York campus.

After graduation she decided to locate her business in Lititz. She went about building an extra room and office at her North Broad Street location and start forming a business meant to heal the body in natural ways.

“(Massage is) a matter of blending the mind, body and spirit to a healthy state,” Ressler said. “I want to be able to help people so they don’t have to pop a pill every time they have pain,” said.
