Hospice Pet Therapy

According to the Arizona Republic, Arizona hospice has added pet therapy to its offerings for its patients suffering from dementia.

"There are three ways to reach dementia patients that work better than any other, and they are massage, music and pets," said Gillian Hamilton, medical director for the hospice. "We have seen patients respond to animals like magic."
