Pets and Alternative Medicine
WTNH talks to a local licensed pet massage therapist in an article about the growth of alternative medicine for pets.
Licensed pet therapist Kim Jonah of Glastonbury has been working in pet massage for three years, 21 in dog years.
"People would literally laugh at me and now they call me and ask for appointments," said Jonah.
With Americans spending an estimated $38 billion a year on pet products and services, Jonah doesn't find it odd people are willing to pay $30 a half hour for more than an ear scratch and a belly rub.
"The dog world is following the human world in alternative medicine," said Jonah.
