Care Center for Integrative Health
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette profiles a local hospital's "care center for integrative health," which helps bridge the gap between mainstream medicine and alternative therapies for patients (and even traditional doctors).
"I think a lot of primary care doctors or specialists aren't knowledgeable about some of these alternative therapies," said Torregiani, who started his practice about eight months ago. "But patients want to know about them. If there's a way to get off medicine or decrease the amount they're taking, they want to do that. Hopefully, we'll have patients leaving here healthier."
