Volunteer Massage for the Elderly
The Chico Enterprise Record profiles Matt Dunckel, a local massage therapist who has started a volunteer program that gets massage therapists into nursing homes.
Dunckel's idea came about through his massage business when he would visit the elderly in nursing homes or assisted living facilities. "There are so many people who don't have family and friends. My philosophy is that we're all connected as one. When there are people leaving the planet who are fearful and alone, that's not good for any of us."
