A Belt And Suspenders!

We moved our residence last week. A couple of days ago, while we were unpacking, my husband noticed a pain in his side that went from his low back and wrapped around to his iliacus muscle.

In his early 20s, he suffered from a kidney stone. Swearing he would never let himself get one again, he started pushing water through his system. Of course, he figured he could also be suffering from a muscle strain and I guessed it was possible that it was his iliopsoas because it radiated around to his low back and we had been doing a lot of lifting. Lamenting that he wished he knew a good massage therapist, I offered my services.

With my training in visceral manipulation, I could help him pass a kidney stone, if it was small enough, and if it actually was the source of the problem. With my training in advanced clinical protocols in massage therapy, I have several techniques for addressing psoas problems. By working both, it would be like insurance against either condition, much like preventing your pants from falling down by using a belt and suspenders.
