Elvis Story

Four summers ago, I saw Elvis. It was 109 degrees, and Vegas Elvis (looking like he had just stepped off a collectable memorial plate) walked past me on the Strip. Clad entirely in black leather with a black scarf around his neck, I figured he'd be well-done before he arrived at his destination.

We had even considered an Elvis wedding, but worried about making light of our wedding vows. Our first choice for officiator had been the Reverend Horton Heat. I e-mailed his manager, but he was touring and unavailable. In retrospect, I think we missed out on declaring our "burning, burning love". At least I have something to look forward to if we ever renew our vows...
