There are several scams around north Alabama, targeting the families of servicemen overseas, which is just wrong, taking fraudulent advantage of people already heavily burdened.
One funny note, though, the local news ran a piece about the scams and a local man gave his opinion, "We don't like Jane Fonda much around here, and these folks (the scam artists) are even lower than her."
