New Pornographers In The Times
The New York Times reviews a New Pornographers show:
In this universe, however, mainstream listeners are more interested in futuristic club tracks and bombastic ballads — just check the pop charts. And so the New Pornographers are a cult band. On Friday they played the first of two sold-out concerts at the Bowery Ballroom, entertaining fans who suspended their disbelief and cheered the musicians as if they were pop stars.
