Tuesday Tunes (Mountain Goats Covers)
This week's Tuesday Tunes capture the charm and intensity of a live Mountain Goats show.
The first cover song is the Ace of Base classic, "The Sign," taken from a 2001 Swarthmore show. John Darnielle's patter alone makes this track memorable, along with his obvious love for the song.
The second track is more straightforward, a cover of the Smiths' Reel Around the Fountain," from a 1997 Chicago Empty Bottle show. (song temporarily unavailable)
