January 2, 2005
After devoting yesterday to family, friends and football, today begins the 2005 edition of 52 Books, 52 Weeks. When Atomic Books offered to sponsor my reading this year, I decided to let them pick my reading list for January (yes, I am a trusting person). Luckily, the staff has good taste (at least according to my tastes), and chose some books I had been waiting to read as well as other interesting choices.
My first book this year will be Haruki Murakami and the Music of Words, by Jay Rubin. I have been looking forward to reading this biography of one of my favorite authors.
