Tomorrow's Shopping Bag
A wealth of interesting music is released this week, and I'd have to be a wealthy man to pick up everything that interests me. I preordered several discs this week, including the Yo La Tengo three disc retrospective, Prisoners of Love, the Decemberists' new album, Picaresque and MF Doom's Live From Planet X. I am most excited about the Gogol Bordello disc, East Infection, the band's first new studio output since 2002.
I'll step out tomorrow at lunch and fill in the gaps. Sway me with your love and convince me something else on my list is a must-have (and conversely, what I should stay away from). At the moment, almost everything else on my list has about equal weight, so I could use the advice.
In DVD releases, I am most excited about the Drive-By Truckers' Dirty South - Live at the 40 Watt disc. Those of us who attended these magical release shows for The Dirty South can relive the moments. Coheed & Cambria's Live At The Starland Ballroom video will probably round out my DVD purchases for the day, unless I find a great deal on The Man Called Flintstone or The Flintstones - The Complete Third Season (yes, I love silly cartoons).
