Tomorrow's Shopping Bag
This week I have preordered British Sea Power's Open Season, Magnolia Electric Co's What Comes After the Blues, Okkervil River's Black Sheep Boy, and South San Gabriel's Carlton Chronicles. I love what I've heard from the latter, Will Johnson (Centro-matic) simply continues to amaze with every project. Help me sort the wheat from the chaff and throw a recommendation (or dire warning) my way in the comments on the rest of my list (or anything I missed).
I will also be picking up a couple of DVD's. The Scrabble documentary, Word Wars, will make a good companion on my shelf to Stefan Fatsis's book, Word Freak. Nuns on the Run, the 1990 Eric Idle and Robbie Coltrane comedy, will make a great gift for my wife.
