Tomorrow's Shopping Bag (This Week's Interesting CD & DVD Releases)

This week's music releases are a mixed bag. The only disc I had in hand was Death Cab for Cutie's Plans, but I was so disappointed with it, I gave it to a Ben Gibbard fanboy. My preorders consisted of Bob Dylan's seventh installment in his bootleg series, No Direction Home, Kanye West's Late Registration, and the Austin City Limits Festival 2004 sampler. Feel free to recommend something either on the list or that I missed. This morning I'm fighting one of those summer colds that begs for a shot of bourbon and a chicken soup chaser, so I'm sure I have missed something.

As for DVD's, I pre-ordered the 2004 Austin City Limits Festival disc, , and of course, Curb Your Enthusiasm's fourth season (because Larry David is the funniest man on television). The Suicide Girls have a disc out tomorrow of their first burlesque tour (I read the site for its, um, interviews and news). Former Del Fuego Dan Zanes has a children's music DVD out, the perfect gift for friends with kids.

I have a date with a good book and a couch for the next day or two, any sick at home movie recommendations?
