McSweeney's Quarterly Concern Volume 16 has everything you want in a literary anthology: well-developed and interesting stories and even a comb (so you can look good while reading this well-designed book). The Ann Beattie novella and Robert Coover deck-of-cards story make this collection worthwhile by themselves, and after reading them you still haven't even cracked into the main volume.
My next book will be La Dolce Vegan: Vegan Livin' Made Easy, by Sarah Kramer.
