Tomorrow's Shopping Bag (This Week's Interesting CD & DVD Releases)
This week hit the wallet hard, with no less than five music releases pre-ordered (thanks to birthday gift certificates): Nothing Painted Blue's Taste the Flavor, Edith Frost's It's a Game, and the live albums by Wilco, Bright Eyes, and Bonnie "Prince" Billy. The new Nothing Painted Blue disc is highly anticipated, as any Franklin Bruno release should be...
I already have the new Belle Orchestre an Twin Atlas releases, both are highly recommended.
My wife is eyeing the Eurythmics remasters (with bonus tracks), I may pick up a couple for her (the least I can do while she lends me her iPod nano).
Guided By Voices' final show DVD, The Electrifying Conclusion is officially released tomorrow, as are the U2 2005 Chicago show and Live 8 videos from Berlin, Paris and Rome. I'm passing on these, and picking up the second season of Scrubs instead.
