Tomorrow's Shopping Bag (This Week's Interesting CD & DVD Releases)
With my birthday next week, my wife has warned me against buying any new releases until then, or I will a) ruin her surprise, and b) have to return items (something I despise, even by mail). I'll go out on a limb and guess she's gifting me the Johnny Cash complete Sun recordings box set, so I pre-ordered the Tragically Hip box set, Hipeponymous, for myself. My only other pre-order was Diane Cluck's wonderfully spare Countless Times. Tomorrow I'll head out and look for the new No-Neck Blues Band and Wooden Wand & the Vanishing Voice releases. I already have (and can recommend) True Margrit's Seaworthy.
Among DVD releases, Reefer Madness - The Movie Musical and Jay and Silent Bob Do Degrassi [dvd] are intriguing, but I'm more likely to start my holiday shopping and pick up the deluxe edition of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory for a niece or nephew, as well as other discs for friends and family.
What is everyone else picking up this week? Any recommendations?
