Tomorrow's Shopping Bag (This Week's Interesting CD & DVD Releases)
As the winter holidays approach, another lean music release week will leave me with more cash to pu towards gifts for family and friends. My preorders consisted of Alejandro Escovedo's double live album, Room of Songs, and the first single, Juicebox, from the Strokes' forthcoming release. If I can find a bargain on the Tori Amos box set, I'll add that and the White Stripes single, "Walking With a Ghost" (the Tegan and Sara cover) when I shop tomorrow.
Holiday gift-buying will dominate my DVD purchases this week. The fifth season of Everybody Loves Raymond will go to my wife, and season four of 24 is already earmarked for my mom. I'll give myself Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Volume 4, to round out my DVD shopping. I already have Bill Hicks' early standup film, Sane Man, and firmly recommend this as a fine example of this amazing comic at the top of his game.
