Stylus profiles Canadian music legends the Tragically Hip.

The entire structure that The Tragically Hip are situated upon is an intriguing one. The music they play has many influences (and has had many over the years) that meld together in a fantastic blend, but is certainly nothing groundbreaking. Their lyrics can be equal parts beautifully metaphoric and utterly mind-boggling. Their live stage presence is the stuff of legend, and it is not an uncommon sight to see signs among the spectators with the words “Gord Is God” emblazoned upon them (which refer to front man Downie).
