Largehearted List - April 10th, 2006

A great week of music means an exciting week of music blog posts. Here are my eleven favorite posts from the past week, in alphabetical order by blog name:

1. All Things Go presents the All Things Go Sleep mixtape.

2. Audiovant, a new but brilliant podcast, interviews Swedish singer-songwriter Jens Lekman, and even offers a live version of "Another Sweet Summer Night on Hammer Hill."

3. Brooklynvegan examines the music box curiosity known as "the Buddha machine."

4. Chemistry Class reviews Popmatter's treatment of Continuum's 33 1/3 series of books on seminal albums. Honorable mention: Zoilus explores the same series.

5. I Guess I'm Floating offers an "opening batch of songs for the rap-conscious hipsters out there."

6. Marathonpacks weighs in on the "blogger payola" debate with one of the best posts of the year, much less the week. Honorable mention: happy 1st birthday, Marathonpacks, I wish you many more, Eric, thanks for one of my favorite blogs.

7. Mocking Music interviews Man Man's Honus Honus.

8. Muzzle of Bees continues its "Get to Know Your Blogger" series with an interview of Garrison Reid of Indie Interviews.

9. One Louder begins a new feature and plays Jukebox Jury with Are You Familiar's Greg Ipp.

10. Soul Sides discusses road tunes for gridlock, specifically Devics and Feist.
