19 Down, 33 To Go
Luba: The Book of Ofelia is an amazing work. Gilbert Hernandez has built a world around Mexican immigrant Luba and her family. The characters' lives are intertwined by their family connections, sexual relationships, and work situations, much like an interesting soap opera. I would have loved to read this in serial comic book form, the book flowed effortlessly from each main character's story.
My next book is Baltimore Noir.
