20 Down, 32 To Go (52 Books, 52 Weeks)

Baltimore Noir is a collection of crime fiction stories that take place in Baltimore. Laura Lippman not only edited the collection, but she also submitted a story, the creepy "Easy As A-B-C." My favorite crime stories (both fiction and non-fiction) create a heightened sense of unease in their readers, and these stories definitely achieve that goal. Each story is subtitled with the Baltimore neighborhood where it takes place, and portray the city's grittier side. This was my first exposure to the city "noir" series by Akashic Books, I'll definitely be searching out the other books in the series.

My next book is The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, by Bobby Henderson.
