In a year overrun with post-apocalyptic books, World War Z stands out. The book is the story about the "zombie war," and is refreshingly told as a series of interviews with survivors. These survivors come from all strata of life, from world leaders to scientists to soldiers to children, and each has a unique perspective and vignette to share. Skillfully written, this book is the perfect compliment to David Wellington's zombie novels, Monster Island and Monster Nation.
My next book is Mao: The Unknown Story, by Jung Chang.
