When I picked up Sentences, its slim 128 pages surprised me, but you can't judge a book by its breadth. This autobiographical graphic novel from M.F. Grimm takes the hip hop icon from the set of Sesame Street to the streets of Manhattan, to the hospital with a paralyzing shooting, to jail, then back to his music. Grimm's story is harsh, and his honesty in telling it respectable and appreciated. If you love hip hop, this book is a must-read.
