The Pushcart Prize XXXII: Best Of The Small Presses 2008 reminded me of how much I used to love Dave Eggers' Best American Nonrequired Reading series. With pieces pulled from small presses and literary magazines, it is almost impossible to pick individual essays, short stories, or poems to single out.
