This Week's Interesting DVD Releases (April 22nd, 2008)
About three months ago we moved, and last week I finally unpacked the last box. Filled with old VHS tapes, I didn't expect any surprises, but at the bottom was an unopened copy of first season of Friday Night Lights. Needless to say, my productivity plummeted as I was caught up in the high school football drama and watched all 21 episodes over seven days. The second season of Friday Night Lights is released tomorrow and I expect to devour the fifteen episodes during my leisure time this week.
Among the theatrical releases available tomorrow, The Savages (starring Laura Linney and Philip Seymour Hoffman) garnered some rave reviews. Hoffman also shows up in Charlie Wilson's War.
Music DVD releases are sparse this week, the most interesting being Wetlands Preserved a documentary about the Wetlands live music venue in New York.
