Having read many glowing reviews, I expected to like Mat Johnson;s graphic novel, Incognegro. The story of an African-American reporter who goes undercover in the south to cover lynchings and help prosecute the offenders blew me away. The panels are skillfully drawn by Warren Pleece, but it is the attention to dialogue and the story's quick pacing that add to this thriller's appeal.
