This Week's Interesting DVD Releases (April 21st, 2009)

The Wrestler features a fascinating performance by Mickey Rourke, one that deservedly earned him an Oscar nomination (along with co-star Marisa Tomei).

Frost/Nixon , the dramatization of the David Frost and Richard Nixon interviews starring Frank Langella and Michael Sheen brings this historic media event to the big screen with surprising success.

The producers of Battlestar Galactica's new series, Caprica (a prequel of sorts), kicks off with a film-length pilot.

No One Said It Would Be Easy, the documentary about the indie band Cloud Cult, is definitely high on my shopping list.

The X-Men trilogy is released in Blu-ray format tomorrow, and Marvel's animated Wolverine and the X-Men: Heroes Return Trilogy hits store shelves tomorrow.
