This Week's Interesting DVD Releases (August 25th, 2009)
thirtysomething's first season finally arrives on DVD this week. In the late 1980's, thirtysomething was my favorite television drama, I am looking forward to seeing how the series stands the test of time.
After a couple of weak release weeks for television series, this week bustles with quality releases. The first season of House, M.D., the sixth season of NCIS, the eighth season of Scrubs, and the sixth season of One Tree Hill are just a few of the highlights.
Among feature films out this week, Fighting, Goodbye Solo, and Duplicity all met with critical success during their theatrical runs and have been added to my Netflix queue.
The lone Blu-ray release I can recommend this week is the classic horror film, Children of the Corn.
